Cities - Jerusalem - New City

Jerusalem new city encompasses all that is outside of the walled old city, even though several of the older neighborhoods, such as Meah Shearim and Nahalat Shiva are already over one hundred years old. There are myriads of Jerusalem sites, and everyone finds their own special “haunts” here. The triangular area bordered by King George Street, Jaffa Road, and the Ben Yehuda pedestrian mall is great for observing Jerusalem life. For the same reason, you might also enjoy strolling through the Mahane Yehuda shuk, or open market, further westward on Jaffa road. For nightlife, aside from Ben Yehuda, there is also the nearby Russian compound and further south on Emek Refaim street there are a series of pleasant cafes and casual restaurants. And just outside of the main entrance to the old city - Jaffa Gate - a new mall opened up recently with many trendy stores and coffee shops. Something for everyone!
